A Word From Your Executive Director

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” 2 Peter 1:3

This is the verse the children are learning in Lifeway’s VBS this year. God is teaching these children through the power of His word to live a life of Holiness.  They need it!  In this world they are introduced to language and actions that are horrible at home and school.  They need to hear the voice of God in the middle of it. We must be cautious to be a kind voice to them and a loving voice to them as we teach them the Word of God. Scripture tells us “Be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another as God in Christ has forgiven you.  Ephesians 4:32.  Yes with VBS in full swing I am amazed at some of the stories of children being saved. God is amazing!!  We are pouring our time into this event and God is blessing with new believers. We praise God for your efforts. Reports of great numbers and small numbers are all over.  I thank God for the courageous churches that pour into VBS, time and effort and have a few children. You are being faithful and God will bless. I am grateful to the churches that are having 100’s of children too. This is a great and mighty work. I thank God that your Association through the leadership of Mary Susan Wilson and her team provided a great training for VBS workers this year. God is doing some great things through the ST. Johns River Baptist Association. I had the privilege of leading three children to faith in Christ this past month. What a great joy and all because of VBS and VBS training. I will tell you the story one day. Pray for your Association as we continue to reach out and serve churches and leaders. Pray for our Evangelism trailer to continue to be used of God. Pray that our outreach next week to St. Augustine during the July 4th celebration will be a great success. Pray our work in our churches that are struggling will reap fruit and result in strengthening churches for God’s glory. Pray for Lydia and her work with the women in the Association and the pastor’s wives too.

Pray for one another as you see in this builder we have listed pastors for whom you can pray. Love and prayers to all Call me if you need a revival, training or just someone to eat a meal!

Thank you for the privilege of serving you here.

Verse of the day

“For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.” (1 Peter 1:24-25)  listen to chapter  (Read by Max McLean.
