A Word From Your Executive Director

Daniel 12:3 says "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the

firmament, and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for
ever and ever."
As I read Daniel these days I am amazed at the wisdom and amazement
of God’s great power. He has power to do the impossible. He is doing it here
in our Association. Let me just tell you about it. Our On Mission Connection
response has been tremendous. You churches not only support these missionaries each week with
your regular tithes and offerings, you gave them an extra special gift of over $12,000 to be enjoyed
to help them return to the field and take care of needs that they have here. When Irma hit Houston,
we as an Administrative Team quickly approved a $1000 by faith to be sent there. Since then we
have received over $7000 for those in the disaster needs both here locally and around the world.
We have received to date through our churches $209, 345 for our budget expenses and we have
spent $209,033. We finished giving out 525 turkeys to 40 churches too. Talk about amazing, God
is amazing. Thank you all for your prayers for us as we lead this great group of churches. Thank
each of you for your gifts to your church offering plate where we get our support. Each dollar you
give a percentage goes to do these ministries. We are grateful to God for your help. We are also
grateful to God for the graciousness of our State Convention of Florida Baptist. They have helped
at least 10 of our churches that I know of and maybe a few more to the tune of near $100,000.
Friends you see that is a lot of building repair and ministry money. Again I thank you for your
gifts to your local church who gives a portion to the Association and Florida Baptist Convention.
As this Christmas season comes upon us and we, your missionaries are asked to speak, we are
thankful to God for the privilege each of you give us to serve you. My time with the churches,
training VBS workers, speaking about missions, helping churches in crisis, training church search
committees, coaching and mentoring is a blessing I can’t begin to describe.
Thank you all.
From our family to yours,

we wish each of you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Fruitful New Year.

Verse of the day

“For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.” (1 Peter 1:24-25)  listen to chapter  (Read by Max McLean.
