A Word From Your Executive Director

Acts 20:35 “I have shown you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Paul was giving some great words here to the church at Ephesus. “Working hard and helping the weak” These are great words to take to heart today. We like to do this in all of our work as we witness to our Savior Jesus. We want to give ourselves away for Him and His Glory. We had a great Association meeting at FBC Palatka. They did a great job hosting this meeting and the music and preaching were great. God blessed. Remember the next meeting will be in February and the Semiannual Meeting will be April 25. God be Praised.
Just finished the Florida Baptist Convention meeting. There are many changes going on. As you may know there is no more “Witness”, The Florida Baptist paper. The news is now On Line and Facebook and other Social Media. The Convention passed a change in bylaws that will affect you as churches. You need to read those changes. There are some changes in how churches related to Associations in some areas too. Your representation at State Board of Missions will be less as the regional leaders will now choose who will serve as our representatives.
How will we respond??
We will continue to support the Convention with love and prayers and support all the work of Southern Baptists.
Many thanks to those who went to help in Disaster Relief. The following churches have made a great impact already. MORE WORKERS ARE NEEDED. Please let us know.
Pastors and staff please put December 3 on your calendar at 6:30pm at River Road Baptist. This is the annual Christmas Dinner. Cost is $10 per person. Come ready to have your picture made. Bring a gift to exchange as a couple valued at $15 or less. Thank you for praying for Lydia. She continues to heal but still has to be driven around and can’t put weight on her foot. Please continue to pray and thank you to the many that have helped us in this time.
God Bless each of you in this time of Christmas season.
I am thankful to all of you.

Verse of the day

“For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.” (1 Peter 1:24-25)  listen to chapter  (Read by Max McLean.
